Questions Part Two

So last week I posted asking all of you lovely readers to give me a few of your favorite questions so that I could use them in an upcoming blog.  Two or three of you responded with some excellent questions, but I’d really love to hear from more of you, so tonight I am shamelessly creating a second questions request post.  I’m looking for all kinds of questions, especially ones that are fun and creative, so feel free to ask whatever you’d like.  I’ve always enjoyed asking you guys questions and reading your answers in the past, so I figured it would be fun to try it the other way around, and the questions I’ve gotten so far have been great.  I can’t wait to read your questions and have fun answering them, so don’t be bashful – let me know what’s on your mind!  Leave your questions in the comments below, and have a great night.

Also, because I feel bad for the lack of actual content, have some laughter courtesy of Julian Smith:

“With Child” – One of Julian’s funniest skits

“Racist Coffee” – One of Julian’s most endearingly quirky music videos

New Video (Sort Of)

I’m going to be at home and away from my school’s speedy Internets this weekend, so I’m bumping the Saturday pony post up to today.  That’s a good thing, though, because two big, pony-related things are happening today.  First of all, today is the day before MLP Profile Picture Month officially begins.  During the month of April, all Friendship is Magic fans on Facebook are changing our profile pics to ponies.  Why?  Because we can.  If you want, you can join in, too!  Here are a few fun pictures that you can use if you’d like (Protip: Bucket Dash is always a good choice):

Also, I’m working on a new video project right now that is decidedly pony-related.  After seeing all of the amazing videos in the “Confound These Remixes!” post a while back, I considered making one of my own.  Then, the other day, I was watching Julian Smith’s “I’m Reading a Book”, and I couldn’t help but think it would be amazing to use that audio to create a video of everyone’s favorite bookworm, Twilight Sparkle, rapping/singing “Don’t you ever interrupt me while I’m reading a book!”  Confound these ponies, they drive me to video editing!  I’m not finished with it yet, but I posted a 20 second preview to YouTube today, so feel free to check that out here and let me know what you think in the comments below.  Have a great day, and I’ll be reporting in tomorrow from my lovely home in Michigan.  Until then, God bless!

Combo Breaker!

I knew it was going to happen on this tour, and I’m honestly surprised that it didn’t happen sooner.  After all, with spotty Wi-Fi at best on the tour bus and a 50/50 chance of any given guest home having readily available Internet access, it would be nearly impossible to go fourteen days without missing a post.  Still, after we passed the halfway point I was feeling hopeful that I might still be able to fully complete the PostADay 2011 challenge.  Then last night happened.  Last night, all thirty-some-odd of the choir guys stayed in one building, which was a lot of fun, but we were told there was no Wi-Fi.  As it turns out, however, there was one network available, so I turned on my computer and started composing a post.  It took me a long time to decide what to post, and in the end I gave up on writing anything original and was going to link to some videos of my favorite Internet funny man, Julian Smith, but just as I was about to hit the “publish” button, the network shut down and never came back online.  I was one and a half seconds away from keeping the daily post combo alive, but it was not to be.  Come to think of it, my weekly video streak died last week, too.  Apparently being on tour is not good for blogging resolutions.  Oh, well, missing one post and one video out of two and a half months is no big deal, and being on tour with the Men’s Choir is definitely worth the trade off.  Let”s just take a moment of silence for yesterday’s post that never was… then I’ll link you to those Julian Smith videos so we can break the silence with a laugh and get back to having a great Spring Break.  Goodnight, everybody!

Here are two of Julian’s signature goofy music videos:

“Red Eye Flashes Twice”

“I’m Reading a Book”

And here are two of his signature goofy skits, which he does when he’s not making music videos:

There are a lot more hilarious videos where these came from, so check out his channel for more good times.
