Victory!

That’s right, my friends.  I set out at the beginning of this month with an absolutely insane goal: to write 50,000 words before November came to its close.  It’s been a long, hard, battle, but I’m happy to report that I just verified my novel at 50,242 words!  I am an official NaNoWriMo 2010 winner.  So what am I going to do now?  I’m going to forget about my book for a week while I tackle finals, then come back at it for a good, healthy rewrite as soon as Christmas break starts.  There’s a lot more I could say, but for some reason I’ve got a bit of a homework backlog, so I have to go.  Thank you for all of your encouragement, and I’ll see you tomorrow with some more in-depth NaNo news and a special edition victory song of the week.
