I’ve got a lot of labels – Brony, BrownCoat, Precocite, Psych-o, Nerdfighter, Beard-Lover, and the like – but there are only two that truly define me: Christian and author. Christian, because no matter how my tastes and preferences change or what twists and turns my life takes, I will never let go of my belief that God is love, and that His love gives meaning and purpose to our upside-down, beautifully flawed lives. Author, because I process life in terms of story. To me, the thrill of a life well-lived and the appeal of a story well-told stem from the same elements, and that connection inspires me to tell the kind of stories that shed some light on life as it is and life as it could be. While my other interests will probably surface here from time to time, my main goal on The Author’s Apprentice is to write about those two defining passions – God and story – and how they relate to life, both as it is and as it could be. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy what you find.
